Dr. Donna Romeo of R.A.C. teamed with Patricia (Patti) Sunderland, PhD of Cultural Research & Analysis, Inc. (http://www.crastudio.com) to conduct a three day Customer Odyssey workshop in Marlborough, MA for a global firm. The team of 20 marketers, brand managers, product engineers, and designers participated in classroom learning, team exercises, and intensive fieldwork experiences. Fieldwork learning included a Retail Immersion with Semiotics of the Shelf analysis and in-home ethnographic interviews with key consumers. The last day of the workshop was dedicated to data analysis, brainstorming and ideation, all of which led to fresh thinking about the product category, innovation ideas, and next steps for strategic implementation for the team.
